just fucking draw. don’t compare yourself to other people, don’t stop because you drew a lot last tuesday and you haven’t visibly improved. it takes time, effort, and a lot of perseverance. besides, no matter how “bad” you think you are, there’s still gonna be someone who thinks the stuff you produce is the best goddamn thing they’ve ever seen in their entire life. the artist you were five years ago would have their mind fucking blown by the artist you are today. so just draw a fuckton, because every new thing you draw is one drawing better than you were before.

the sexual tension when u and ur crush are online on fb at the same time and u just stare at their lil green dot

and suddenly you know what gatsby felt like

This is actually the most profound and appropriate literary allusion I’ve encountered so far this week.

oh my god

Green is a sexy colour. I would know I’m in honours.

there are no rules in college

Ten months, ten entire months have passed since I have made this post. I made this post while I was at college, I am now home. Moreover, some meme loving fuck, at some time today, I don’t know when, silently left a box of kid cuisine on my doorstep. You bothered to somehow find out where I live, which is quite far from my university by several hundred miles, pay money for a frozen children’s meal, and drive out to where I live, just to meme on me. I can’t believe this is real.

There’s this asshole who every time he sees me with my ukulele he thinks he’s funny and asks “Can you play any Metallica?” but the joke is now on him because I just learned how to play the intro riff to Master of Puppets.

I did it. I fucking did it. He asked me again just like I knew he would and I stared him straight in the eyes without blinking and just fucking shredded on my ukulele

What do you think is worse, the fact Disney took a story with an all Japanese cast, and turns almost all of them white, or the fact Disney made a movie out of a comic infamous for being horribly written and extremely racist?

evora-eriu-mclaggen answered:

Can I have no opinion on that matter?

We could begin the talk, but I just see no point in doing that. Disney’s always been altering stories to fit their needs and ideas, adding, changing or ignoring (more or less) the story as well as the characters, yet only recently everyone started pointing that out. Let me give you some examples:

Snow White: The Huntsman was asked to bring lungs and the liver as a proof that he killed the girl, not her heart. The Evil Queen three times changes her shape before she manages to poison the girl with an apple, and it’s not the kiss that wakes up the dead princess. Prince asked the dwarves if he could take her body with him, and when the dwarves move the coffin a piece of apple just falls out of her mouth and ta-da! She’s alive and they marry soon after.

Cinderella: When trying the shoe on, her sisters have to cut pieces of their feet off. I’d rather see that instead of their feet making anatomically impossible things inside the shoe. Or their eyes being eaten by the doves as they march in Cinderella’s wedding procession. That would have been something!

The Jungle Book: Remember when Mowgli was banished from the wolf pack? The boy then managed to kill the tiger (mind you, Shere Khan was a cripple!), and the village people shooed him off as well. Why? Weird superstitions. If I remember correctly, Mowgli fell for a girl from the village in the Disney’s adaptation? Ain’t that somewhat clishe?

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame: Don’t even get me started on that movie! Frollo was supposed to be a priest, a man of God! Phoebus was supposed to have a fiancee! Also, he and his girl were supposed to be the only people (of the main characters, obviously) that do not die in the story! Frollo, Esmeralda, Quasimodo, pffff, even Clopin are six feet under before the story ends! And where is Gringoire, I ask?

See? So many errors, so many changes, and yet none of them ever bothered any of us! We just went to see the movie to enjoy the movie! If you didn’t enjoy, you shrugged it off, and life moved on.
I don’t see Disney as a racist company. It was created by white people, and mainly for the American/European people (Whoops, sounds a bit racist to you? It shouldn’t! Just look at the movies made by Chinese or Japanese: they are mainly about Chinese and Japanese! Oh my! Are they racist too? Nope! They just focus on satisfying needs of their own people, just as any other country is focused on making money on their kin). The fact that Disney is famous does not oblige them to make movies about every nation there is. No one seemed shocked by having a German fairytale set in New Orleans, and OH MY, the German Princess was not a princess at all! She was a black waitress? How did they dare! Still, we all loved the idea, and I think it was Disney’s bow towards all the black children there are.

I’ve had enough seeing that Disney hate on my dash.

If you don’t enjoy, just ignore and move on!
